The Business Association

The local Business Association is the commercial and organisational engine of the town ecosystem. It brings businesses together, helps them become more visible, creates opportunities for collaboration and connects local demand with local capability.

The Association is designed to help businesses do more business locally while also playing an active role in the prosperity of the wider community. Business owners are also people who live, work, employ, shop and participate locally, so the business and community sides of the ecosystem reinforce one another.

The Association coordinates local business engagement, stakeholder relationships, jobs and opportunities, education and skills links, social enterprise activity, civic relationships and the practical operation of the local model.
